Summary: Bad Design, Poor Service - Do not waste your money
Comment: This product does not shred/mulch leaves in any productive way because of poor hopper design (opening is too small) and almost zero airflow through the shredder. After 2 weeks of phone calls and emails back and forth between JEB Supply Co (Seller) and Homier Distributors I still do not have return authorization.
I purchased this product to replace a Sear's Craftsman chipper/shredder which gave me pretty good service for about 10 years. I was attracted to the vertical hopper design of the Blue Max and to the more compact chipper design hoping to eliminate the horizontal design of the Craftsman which causes storage problems and excessive vibration. Unfortunately the Blue Max falls way short on performance.

The Blue Max Chipper Shredder is a heavy duty piece of equipment that was designed with the commercial user in mind. It's high quality design and features also make it an excellent choice around the home without cutting into the family budget. This item must ship motor freight. Make quick work of branches, leaves, and yard clean up. Use the mulch for landscaping, and playgrounds. Turn all of your branches and leaves into valuable garden mulch!
