Summary: Great mouse trap. The only one that worked for me.
Comment: I first realized that I had mice when my cat was acting funny and returned to my bedroom with a live mouse in his mouth.
The mouse trap does an excellent job. The bait has never been stolen. I tried about 4 or 5 different less expensive mouse traps and the mice would always get away with the bait. Sometimes the trap would still be set and others the trap would not be set. I thought they were going to win but they did not.
I ended up catching around 7 mice with the electronic mouse trap. The mouse trap only works great if you also do a good job. You need to check the trap very often. You also need to make sure that you put the trap in a place that mice visit often. I set up a bunch of cheap traps all over the place. If the bait was stolen I moved my vitor electronic mouse trap to the location.
I thought I caught all the mice so I was not checking the trap on a daily basis. Well the mouse started to decay in the mouse trap. So that mouse trap was ruined. The next mouse trap was ruined when it got wet. So you need to make sure that it is protected from water.
Good luck!

Summary: The only thing that worked!!
Comment: Fortunately for us we caught our mouse problems early-- but within 12 hours we caught 2 mice. We had had sticky AND snap traps out in the EXACT same places for 3 days.
After putting in batteries it wouldn't start up. I tried several sets and NONE would work. Out of frustration I slammed the thing down on the counter and buzzzzzzz, we were in business. Disposal was easy-- you don't even have to look at the mouse to do it. See the flashing light, loosen the hinge, turn your head and dump into the garbage.
Highly reccommend. Very effective!!

Comment: I had an infestation and the glue traps were able to bring it way down, but could not eliminate them. But now I got this and it is doing a great job of finishing them off. Just add a little peanut butter, and dispose of bodies.

Summary: Horrible!
Comment: I'll keep this short and sweet. I was woken up last night by high pitched screams. A mouse walked into the trap that is located behind the dresser in my bedroom. Apparently the thing isn't powerful enough to kill them right away.
The mouse was squeaking loudly and thrashing about in the trap as it made a loud buzzing noise. After a few seconds the buzzing noise stopped, but the mouse was still alive, scratching around in the trap. Then a couple seconds later the trap started buzzing again and the mouse again screamed. I guess the second time finally got it because the mouse died, if that was the second time. It may have been in there before I woke up. And for the record, the batteries are new.
Edit: The mouse DIDN'T die afterall! I was going to wait until this morning to dump it outside, and I see that the mouse is now gone. It must have been knocked out and snuck off after it woke up.
Maybe my trap is defective or I have supermice, but I wouldn't recommend getting this trap. I wish I knew it was nothing more than a torture device before my 30 days was up. Now I'm stuck with a $20 rodent stun gun.

Summary: Very satisfied with this mouse trap
Comment: I heard some skittering when I flipped on the garage light last week and suspected that we had a mouse. After reading up on traps here I stumbled upon this Victor electronic unit with many glowing reviews and made the purchase.
We have had it for five nights now. Each morning when I checked the trap the green light has been blinking which indicates that the trap has been "sprung" by a mouse. The first morning there was no mouse, but it left behind a dropping in the chamber after it sprung the trap and nibbled a bit on the peanut butter. That is the only reason that I have not given five stars. It seems that it is possible to spring the trap and not have a kill.
Each subsequent morning there has been a very cute little mouse laid peacefully to rest by this trap. I mention the peaceful part because my two daughters aged 8 and 3 are very curious about the mice and aren't at all disturbed by the little guys after this trap is done with them. In the past we have used the spring-loaded traps and the results can be quite brutal to behold. This trap seems to be a much gentler kill and it is very easy and clean to dispose of the carcass afterward.
We are so impressed by this trap that we're giving one to my father-in-law for Christmas!
